Socardo, Inc. ("Socardo", "Dropcard," "us", or "we") takes the privacy and protection of your personal information very seriously. By visiting the Dropcard website, located at http://www.myDropcard.com, interacting with Dropcard via a mobile phone, and/or using any of our other services (text messaging, mobile access, emails, and other services Dropcard offers are collectively referred to as the "Service” in this privacy policy), you acknowledge that you accept the practices and policies outlined in this privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”). This Privacy Policy does not apply to any goods or services controlled by third parties, even if those third parties are partners of Dropcard.

Dropcard reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to modify or change this Privacy Policy at any time with or without prior notice to you. You should visit the URL above to review the current Privacy Policy on a regular basis. The date of the last update will be posted at the top of this Privacy Policy for your convenience. Your continued use of the Service following the posting of any changes to the Privacy Policy constitutes your full acceptance of those changes.

Registration
In order to use this Web site, you must first complete the registration form and create a password.  During registration you are required to give contact information (such as name, phone number, and email address). We use this information to provide and contact you about the services on our site in which you have expressed interest. 

Apart from initial registration, you have the option of completing a Dropcard profile with further contact information, such as instant messaging, chat, social network website URLs, address, and web address. We will not use this Dropcard profile information to contact you. 
While using the Dropcard service, we will also store and make available to you any contact information of individuals which you submit to us. We will not use this information to contact those individuals, unless they register for Dropcard.

The information you provide and the information Dropcard obtains about you (collectively, "Personal Information") may be used (a) to provide you with products and services you request; (b) to anticipate and resolve problems with our products and services; (c) to improve and update our products and services; (d) to process and respond to inquiries; (e) for other purposes communicated to you at the time you provide or authorize the use of the information. Dropcard does not rent, sell, or share your Personal Information with third parties other than as set forth herein.

The Service
You can use Dropcard to share your contact information easily with others. By making a request via text message, mobile web, or website, your chosen information is sent to a specified email address or phone number. The shared information is fully chosen by you and can be modified at any time. Information about you is shared at your explicit request, with one possible exception, which you may opt to enable or disable: If someone with a Dropcard account shares their information with you, they may be able to see the information you’ve posted automatically. This is an opt-in service and can be activated or deactivated at any time from the account settings page.

Uses of Information
Dropcard uses the personal information you submit to create profiles for you, which you can review at any time. Your profiles contain only the information you explicitly choose to include, and is fully under your control.  Your profiles are shared with others only at your explicit request (i.e. text message request, mobile application request, web request).

Dropcard stores and uses the contact information you submit about others (i.e. email addresses, phone numbers) to send your profile information to them, whether they have registered or not.

Dropcard also uses aggregate (i.e. non-personally identifying) information to evaluate our products and services.  We do not link aggregate user data with personally identifiable information. 

Service-related Announcements
We will send you strictly service-related announcements on rare occasions when it is necessary to do so.  For instance, if our service is temporarily suspended for maintenance, we might send you an email. 

Generally, you may not opt-out of these communications, which are not promotional in nature.  If you do not wish to receive them, you have the option to deactivate your account in the settings page.

Customer Service
Based upon the personally identifiable information you provide us, we may send you a welcoming email to verify your username and password.  We will also communicate with you in response to your inquiries, to provide the services you request, and to manage your account. We will communicate with you by email, in accordance with your wishes.

Feedback
If you provide feedback to us, we may use and disclose such feedback for any purpose, provided we do not associate such feedback with your Personal Information. We will collect any information contained in such feedback and will treat the Personal Information in it in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Third Party Service Providers
We use other third parties who work on behalf of or with us to provide some of the services and features of the Service and to help us communicate with Users. We use other third parties to provide text messaging, email, analyzing data, and social network webpage lookup for our service.  When you sign up for Dropcard, we will share the information specified below, as necessary for the third party to provide that service.   

Where Dropcard utilizes third parties for the processing of any personal information, we implement reasonable technical protections limiting the use of that information to the Dropcard-specified purposes however, Dropcard assumes no responsibility or liability for the information, collection, and disclosure practices of any of these third party sites." And "We cannot and do not guarantee that User Content you post on the Site will not be viewed by unauthorized persons. We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures contained on the Site.

The following is an overview of the third party service providers with whom we work, the information we transmit to these parties, and how these third parties will use your information.

Textmarks, Inc. (http://www.textmarks.com)
We use Textmarks Inc. to receive and process incoming and outgoing text messages. All text messages you send to and receive from Dropcard are received by Textmarks Inc. before being sent to Dropcard. TextMarks receives and stores your mobile phone number and full message content when you send a text message to Dropcard. To use Dropcard, you will receive reply texts from Textmarks only when you send a text message to the number 41411.

Google (http://www.gmail.com)
We use Gmail, a service of Google Inc., to receive, process, and store incoming and outgoing emails. Emails that contain your contact information are sent and stored by Google.

Rapleaf (http://www.rapleaf.com)
In order to assist you in completing your Dropcard profile, we supplement the personal information you submitted to us with information from third party sources. To add social network website data to your Dropcard profile, we submit your email addresses to the RapLeaf service.
Rapleaf searches and retrieves publicly available information about you, primarily social network site information. We do this to make it easier to complete your Dropcard profile. You will see all of the requested data and have the option to delete any and all of it.

Rapleaf receives and stores any submitted email addresses. We encourage you to review RapLeaf’s privacy policy, which can be found at http://blog.rapleaf.com/privacy/.

Legal Disclaimer
We reserve the right to disclose your personally identifiable information as required by law and when we believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights and/or to comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process served on our Web site.

Privacy of Minors
We do not intentionally collect or maintain information in the Service from those visitors who are under 13 years old.

In the event that Dropcard learns it has collected personal information belonging to someone under age of 13, Dropcard will delete that information from our database. If you believe that we have any information from or about a child under 13, please contact us at privacy@myDropcard.com.

Usage Tracking
As is true of most Web sites, we gather certain information automatically and store it in log files.  This information includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and clickstream data. 
We use this information, which does not identify individual users, to analyze trends, to administer the site, to track users’ movements around the site and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole. 

We do not link this automatically-collected data to personally identifiable information. 
We use a third-party tracking service called Google Analytics that tracks non-personally identifiable information about visitors to our site in the aggregate. A cookie is a small text file that is stored on a user’s computer for record-keeping purposes. We use cookies on this site. If you are signed in, we link the information we store in cookies to personally identifiable information you submit while on our site. If you are not signed in, we do not link any information we store in cookies to personally identifiable information.

Our iPhone optimized website (http://www.myDropcard.com/i) uses cookies to store login information. This cookie can be purged by clicking sign out on the iPhone optimized website. 

Security
The security of your personal information is important to us. We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it.  No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure, however.  Therefore, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Business Transitions
In the event Socardo Inc. goes through a business transition, such as a merger, acquisition by another company, or sale of all or a portion of its assets, your personally identifiable information will likely be among the assets transferred.  You will be notified via prominent notice on our Web site for 30 days of any such change in ownership or control of your personal information.
Although we currently do not have a parent company, any subsidiaries, joint ventures, or other companies under a common control (collectively, “Affiliates”), we may in the future.
